I think that this has gone far enough. When this cretin has to lower himself (herself?) to such a gutter level, then I think that it is high time that this person cease and desist and leave.
Dandelion, is there no mercy for this situation?

The powers that be must be consulted on how banning is accomplished in this new order of things. The filter to keep such detritus out was supposed to go into effect today.
(Um, nevermind on the first, I figured out how. As for the filter, still don't know.)This message has been edited. Last edited by: dandelion,

Dandelion: If the forum had private messaging, I would implement it to offer advice. Since it doesn't, how about this... Paste over and print the postings. Stuff them into a file. Ban the person, and then send a message to the powers-that-be stating why you did it. Include a couple of the posts.
They'll love you for it. And they'll know they picked the right person for the job. It comes down to you...don't worry about whether they will object. It's what they WANT you to handle for them. That's why they gave you access.

I thought I'd have to consult them about *how* to ban, not *whether*. As it was, I figured out how and did it myself. The posts were merely edited, not deleted, for reasons stated in the "Deletions: What Goes, What Stays" thread.
