As a general rule, Ray attends the Saturday night performances.

| Ray's general rule held fast. Tonight was the encore premiere and Ray was there. He gave a nice little speech before the play began. This encore presentation of The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit has a few changes from the last production. Just enough to want to go see it again. www.plays411.com/raybradbury

| I had the chance to attend THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT last Saturday night and thought it was great. Having Ray there to speak to the audience was just as wonderful. For those who live in the Los Angeles area (or may be visiting LA during the play's run through Saturday, November, 14), I highly recommend it. |

| As noted in Nard Kordell's postings way back at the beginning of this thread, THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT had its origins as a play, directed by Stuart Gordon, here in Chicago back in the 1970's. Its director, as well as several cast members, later went on to fame in films and television. The link below will take you to a January 20, 1976 radio program, hosted by the one and only Studs Terkel, during which he interviewed several of the Chicago play's cast members, who also re-create some of the play's scenes. The actors involved include Joe Mantegna and Dennis Franz. Enjoy! https://studsterkel.wfmt.com/p...erful-ice-cream-suit |
