Mog the Dog here. My favorite human companion is twice twenty-four today. She asked Ray a few years ago if he remembered his forty-third birthday and he wasn't sure that he had. She then asked him if he thought it had been a good day to come into the world, and he roared in reply, "Oh, hell, yes!" MTD "I was not born, but instead created. I’m not alive, and yet I exist. I will never die, but some day I will be forgotten, as was the light by which I came into this world." MTD

You could call this the birth of a new era: 1966: Original Star Trek series debuted on television I should add that the first episode that aired was written by a dear friend of Ray's, George Clayton Johnson. The Man Trap is often called the Salt Monster episode. (George also gets credit for coining the phrase, "He's dead Jim.")This message has been edited. A little bit of bragging here but I got invited to a lecture next Thursday by Leonard Nimoy. I gave George a call earlier today and he did not realize the date was today. Wished him happy anniversary he thought I meant his 59 year marriage... (silly man) John King Tarpinian You know what you are, Mr. Bradbury? ... You are a poet! -- Aldous Huxley
