Born 1856: L. Frank Baum

(His home was behind the 1919 Hollywood restaurant Musso & Frank's; a frequent haunt of one Ray Douglas Bradbury)

Baum's grand-nephew tells the story that after his passing his widow was found burning his papers in the backyard incinerator. The books were on bookstore shelves what use were his papers...or so she thought?
