Not really miscellany but... Today I had the honor of seeing proofs of the graphic novels for Something Wicked and Illustrated. If you liked the graphic 451 I predict you'll like these two too. John King Tarpinian You know what you are, Mr. Bradbury? ... You are a poet! -- Aldous Huxley

I did and I look forward to the upcoming graphics! How about a new F451 movie? Has this ever been brought up on the web topics....?
|
Yes, there has been talk about a 451 movie and I know just enough to give incorrect information or say something I should not. So I cannot confirm or deny anything. I know, bummer. John King Tarpinian You know what you are, Mr. Bradbury? ... You are a poet! -- Aldous Huxley

Now there's a question that's never been asked. Here's another: what was that little film I saw where the sun only shines on one day a year? And another: will you do my homework assignment for me? - Phil Deputy Moderator | Visit my Bradbury website: www.bradburymedia.co.uk | Listen to my Bradbury 100 podcast: https://tinyurl.com/bradbury100pod

OK!
Now, that's real news...!?

That should be my epitaph... John King Tarpinian You know what you are, Mr. Bradbury? ... You are a poet! -- Aldous Huxley

Recently begun listening to the new Michael Prichard narration of The Golden Apples of the Sun and Other Stories by way of audible download. It includes all the stories in The Golden Apples of the Sun and R is for Rocket. (Also read is Ray Bradbury's introduction to R is for Rocket.) You can listen to a sample at audible or the Tantor site: http://www.tantor.com/BookDeta...ct=1821_GoldenApples

Actually not. These are the stories that appeared in Harper Perennial's edition of The Golden Apples of the Sun and Other Stories, leaving out such stories as "The Pedestrian" and "Invisible Boy". The same book also appeared as A Sound of Thunder and Other Stories and Classic Stories 1.

Golden Apples, F451, From the Dust Returned, 19 Stories, Martian Chronicles, Illustrated Man, One For the Road, Stories of RB, Green Shadows, White Whale, and numerous from Old Time Radio Sci-Fi series: recorded RB stories in my library. Great listening on our frequent journeys through the Adirondack Mts. L: We were privileged a couple of years ago to meet and then speak for nearly an hour with Mr. Prichard (at Mr. B's 89th in Pasadena, Freemont Theater). He was very kind to share stories of his career, later performing on stage. Quite a night for a far traveling East Coast family! Unfortunately, very nice photos with all of us in the theater's outer courtyard were, alas, absconded...This message has been edited. Last edited by: fjp451,

Absconded is a bad word. "Live Forever!"

...particularly in the above sentence! Maybe the photos absconded; maybe someone absconded, with the photos. But "the photos WERE absconded"? Surely not! ...by an absconder! RE: 1. (verb) abscond, bolt, absquatulate, decamp, run off, go off, make off run away; usually includes taking something or somebody along. "The thief made off with our silver"; "the accountant absconded with the cash from the safe" "Absquatulate" is a good word!

Might it be said, "An absconder absconded said photos."? RE: 1. (verb) abscond, bolt, absquatulate, decamp, run off, go off, make off run away; usually includes taking something or somebody along.
