Happy 94, Betty!
Happy 85, Mr Shatner!
Happy 96, Ravi! You were something else!
As Mr Prine turns 70, let us not forget his great talents with this wonderful write up!
I have my ticket to see him at the Greek Theatre on 5/13 - my lucky Friday!
Doug Spaulding: Do me a favor!
If on May 13 your enjoyment of the concert with Mr. Prine allows you to get "up close" and say "Hello!" and shake his hand, please share with him how our coast to coast exchanges have brought a true fan to his side.
I drove some long back roads this weekend. John Prine playing, trees in blossom, geese flying, fields greening...perfect - as far as my simple needs sometimes require.
Tell him "God Bless." He is a gentleman and an Artist who is appreciated here and now and for years to come!
Peter Townsend, "Keep Rocking! 5/19 Great Day!"
(Saw the Who in Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center years ago. Amazing Energy and Musicianship.)
Happy birthday, Nard Kordell!
Thanks! I posted the following on his Facebook page and let's all make a wish in his honor!

Happy 82, HE!
Happy 90th, Mel!
Caught some of the TCM showing of Gone with the Wind!
Thirty-six years ago I attended high school with one of the world's biggest know-it-alls named Jim. He would insist on such things as, for instance, Randolph Mantooth's family were all circus performers. You could repeat till you were blue in the face that they were pipeline construction workers but he just wouldn't have it.
One of his favorite tropes was that everyone in Gone with the Wind was dead. It didn't matter how often or insistently I flat-out contradicted and disagreed with this fallacy. For Olivia de Havilland's July 1 100th birthday, I want to say one thing:
GUESS WHAT! SHE'S NOT DEAD, JIM!
Happy 76, Ringo!
Happy birthday, Don!
