It is about a man who go to visit the house he grew up in and he finds a letter he wrote to himself when he was a young boy. Thanks ~~Stef stef

There's a poem by Ray Bradbury called "Remembrance" like that, but it takes place in a tree, not a house.

That is the one, he finds the note in a tree. Thank you . I have wondered about that for years! It was a page out of a magazine my grandmother had saved. I read it 30 years ago . I found it in an atlas that predated world war 2. stef

I just found it on line and I could cry. It is like finding and old lost friend! Thanks! stef

The poem ends "I remember you. I remember you." In Waukegan there is a park named after Ray Bradbury, and it has a plaque commemorating the opening of the park. It says "Ray Bradbury. We remember you. We remember you." - Phil Deputy Moderator | Visit my Bradbury website: www.bradburymedia.co.uk | Listen to my Bradbury 100 podcast: https://tinyurl.com/bradbury100pod

Stef, you're welcome, and Phil, thanks for posting that.

This was a favorite I oft times read with my students. They always liked the ironies and especially the great ending which Phil quotes above!
