dandelionThere's a poem by Ray Bradbury called "Remembrance" like that, but it takes place in a tree, not a house.

stefThat is the one, he finds the note in a tree.
Thank you . I have wondered about that for years! It was a page out of a magazine my grandmother had saved. I read it 30 years ago . I found it in an atlas that predated world war 2.

philnicThe poem ends "I remember you. I remember you."
In Waukegan there is a park named after Ray Bradbury, and it has a plaque commemorating the opening of the park. It says "Ray Bradbury. We remember you. We remember you."

fjp451This was a favorite I oft times read with my students. They always liked the ironies and especially the great ending which Phil quotes above!
