Is it The Blue Bottle from "I Sing The Body Electric?" Doug's clue almost threw me for a loop!

Thanks Box Boy,

"He took one last look at the flowers and the delicate green fern and the blade of grass. Then he closed the lid gently and began filling the earth in over it, working steadily and quietly."

Great writing, of course, but not immediately recognisable.
One of the newer releases perhaps?

I haven't checked in for awhile, but am a bit disappointed at the lack of interest.

I suppose most folks who once spent a lot of time chhatting here are now doing so on Facebook or something...

I'll look in again soon...

Dear Braling II,

Yes, the quote is from a short story from a recent release. The book it comes from is easily affordable. It is readily available from Amazon, Borders, and Barnes and Noble. May this information help you.

Perhaps they are acquiescing to playing chess with their elders. Wink

Hmmm...sounds lik a clue to me!
I should hit the local Borders this weekend for their going-out-of-buisiness sale and snatch up any newer Bradbury books!

The line greenray posted comes from "The Beautiful Lady", collected in Summer Morning, Summer Night.
