I always admired his interpretaiton of Spender in Bradbury Chronicles: Martian Episodes' "And the Moon Be Still as Bright" The Kung Fu series was classic adventure television, with quality story lines. Unfortunate outcome - if the details of his demise are accurate... Gallery of pics: http://www.washingtonpost.com/...GA2009060402506.html (Peace, Grasshopper!) "So We’ll Go No More a Roving" By George Gordon Lord Byron (1788-1824) So, we’ll go no more a-roving So late into the night, Though the heart be still as loving, And the moon be still as bright. For the sword outwears its sheath, And the soul wears out the breast, And the heart must pause to breathe, And love itself have rest. Though the night was made for loving, And the day returns too soon, Yet we’ll go no more a-roving By the light of the moon.

Farewell, jovial late-night friend!

As a teen, I was allowed to watched the Carson monologue and then off to bed. Johnny and Ed were an institution, a significant part of the American Culture, a real team, the late night Butch and Sundance! Another paged, sadly turned. I am currently reading Tom Brocaw's Letter from the Greatest Generation. Ed McMahon was a highly decorated Marine pilot. Quite a run, Ed! Thanks for the years of classy entertainment. http://current.com/items/90260...ed-mcmahon-drunk.htm
