Tonight I attended the Launch Party for The Big Read and it was great. There was a reception at 6:00 PM with a buffet and sodas. Then a few comments. Then downstairs to the auditorium where five actors read selected portions of F 451.

I found out that Sam Weller will be at the teleconference hosted by Ed Bradley May 25th. You bet that I will be there. And Sam Weller, I believe that you still have an opportunity to read the posts so I hope to say hello to you that evening and I will bring along my copy of The Bradbury Chronicles for your kind autograph.

I just found out that you can attachment only one item at a time. Here is the front cover of a reader's guide given out at the luanch party.

It was very nicely done and in a matter of 18 pages encapsulated a lot of Ray's life and works.

Here is another photo from Thursday night, the 27th of April. This is the dramatic reading conducted in the auditorium of the Main Ft. Lauderdale Library Building. The banners were really neat. I wonder what happens to them after the Big Read is over?
