The 1980 animated movie Gnomes was inspired by the popular 1977 book by Wil Huygen.

The action cuts back and forth between a family of gnomes preparing for a wedding and excerpts from the book. It transpires that gnomes are kind and helpful creatures in tune with nature. Their enemies are trolls, which are out to eradicate all gnomes. The gnomes have some songs. The trolls don’t.

The only reason I watched this thing was that some source named Ray Bradbury as a story consultant but I have extreme doubts. This credit is not in Internet Movie Database. Bradbury doesn’t seem like Mr. Cutesy Gnomes guy so I don’t know why anyone would ask him to consult on this.

Children may enjoy this but as to adults it depends on the adult. Not recommended, not unrecommended either.
