Like Bradbury, many authors support libraries. Asimov, Dr Seuss, many others:

Phil, this past week I was requested to do a presentation (my second) at our community library on Book Bans and the influences of Mr. B's F451. When you posted this site, I immediately forwarded the link to the inviting librarian, a former English student of mine - ironically!

She loved it and sent me a response indicating she was going to run off the letters and have them displayed in the main reading room. A thought! I'll send a similar note to the librarians in my school and the town in which I teach!
Nice! Thanks.

The link below will take you to a May, 2002 interview of Ray Bradbury by Brendan Dowling, which originally appeared in the November/December, 2002 issue of the magazine, PUBLIC LIBRARIES. It is called "I Graduated from the Library":

I think Ray Bradbury would have enjoyed today's GRAND AVENUE comic strip:

So, I had an appointment today that required me to wait for a while prior to my meeting. There was a table with various magazines and local newspapers available for those who had some extra time prior to being called upon. Several visitors were present before I arrived, including some younger individuals. I immediately selected a magazine and began my wait.

That is when I had a chance to scan the room and to observe the quiet setting. No one looked up upon my arrival nor brief moment settling in. Everyone was viewing the screen on his/her phone.
I enjoyed traveling back in time via the sports related article I was reading!!

* The final short statement at the conclusion of this link would make Montag happy!

I used to always carry a book with me until I got my smart phone. I think last time I was in a waiting room I didn't see any magazines. I have another appointment there so will check.
