Theodore Sturgeon was a writer Ray Bradbury admired very much. In fact, Ray wrote the introduction for Mr. Sturgeon's first book, a short story collection called WITHOUT SORCERY which was published in 1948. A novella by Mr. Sturgeon about a killer bulldozer, "Killdozer", appeared in the November, 1944 issue of ASTOUNDING. A link to the cover of that issue appears below. It is the granddaddy of all of those stories and films about possessed motor vehicles.
