Mr. Bradbury's comments, starting at 2:50 minutes into this interview, are so real in view of countless political short-comings in small towns and nationally - then and NOW! His visionary writings continue to impress generations of readers. Yet, he had such a realistic perspective, in so many ways, due to his family's and his own hard work during those earliest days in Waukegan. Everything was achieved and received in hand because of the work that was done. The Waukegan Public Library has had much success in recent years because of Mr. B's love of and influence on its significance!

Mr. Bradbury's years of studies in the rooms of the Waukegan Public Library had purpose. His experiences there will continue to benefit the lives of youth and adults as long as the pages of his stories are being turned.

We seem to be allowing ever present screens and buttons to lead us directly toward the "Sound of Thunder!" What can reading do for a young person with ambition and goals?! Mr. Bradbury knew. He wrote and spoke eloquently of it during each day of his wonderful life: https://www.sfadb.com/Ray_Bradbury
