Very cool. Thanks for posting. Mr. Bradbury looks great. That certificate looked great, too. How can I get one? Oh. Do I have to be talented!?

You're welcome.

What a great day thanks to the wonderful and generous Ray Bradbury. First, I attended the lecture at the library. Afterward, Ray wanted to drive by the house they bought on Clarkson Road back in the early fifties, just a few hundred yards from the library. Then I was invited to meet back at the house, park my car, and ride to dinner and the play in the stretch limo! Nice.

After the play, on the drive back, Ray and I were talking about our favourite film, Citizen Kane, and I mentioned my second favourite, City Lights, saying that the funniest man in the world, W. C. Fields never cared for Chaplin as a comedian, calling him the "world's greatest ballet dancer"! We also spoke of our love for Harold Lloyd, and he told me how he was able to sit at table with Harold at a dinner sometime not long before he passed, and how excited he was.

He also told me about his Sleeping Beauty cell, and that I would have to come in so he could show it to me when we got back. First, he ask me to "move that poster out of the way". I moved it, and it revealed the marvellous painting of Something Wicked you see posted here. Hallie the Halloween cat jumped up on the table and prowled the stacks, enjoying several good head rubs. She certainly knows good literature. "Well", he announced, long after 11.30, "I have to go to bed". And I had to go north.

A wonderful day, and a wonderful goodbye present from a most kind man.

"Live Forever!"
