Certainly. My Waukegan photos are in this thread, along with the Google Map I made of Bradbury's Green Town:

And Doug's photos are in this thread:

Doug got there before me, so I had to outdo him by getting INSIDE the old Carnegie Library

Sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful but I hadn't entirely thought the whole situation through before I made my last post.

As of this post I have still not looked at anything but the Google Map yet. It dawned on me while I was looking at Baradbury's grandparent's house. Do I really want my entire vision of Green Town to be changed by looking at these pictures? I feel like if I look at them and try to read Dandelion Wine again, I won't be able to picture beautiful Green Town as I had before and most of the "magic" of the book will be lost.

I'll think it over...

That's a good point, ZRTMWA. I can only say that I'm the type of person who appreciates the magic all the more if I can see where it came from: Bradbury's work seems more powerful, knowing that he created it from his imagination (triggered by reality), rather than simply described something that already existed.

However, I realise that some people will see it differently.

Visiting the area gave me a further appreciation of what was imaginary and what was real, only particularly well-described. The ravine was the closest to exactly like in the book, but possibly photographs cannot fully capture it.

Indeed - I only clumb on it. As is befitting a twelve-year-old lad!

They never can capture a book - witness most films made from books. In our mind's eye, we see all, and we always see it with perfect accuracy.

I don't think I'm gonna look at them, at least for now. Sorry

On a new note, does anyone know where I can purchase a version of Dandelion wine that has the original dust jacket from the first edition(see first picture)?:

I hate the reprint edition cover by Tom Canty, no offense to him.

By the way is there a designated place for buying all Bradbury books/ merchandise?

There are facsimile dust jackets that can be purchased from certain dealers. The retailer I gravitate to first is Mystery and Imagination. The owners have been friends with Ray for thirty some odd years. Give them a call at 818.545.0206 anytime after 1 p.m. Left Coast time.

Yeah I might have to do this option. It looks like the first editions are selling in Amazon Marketplace for +$500.

What edition are these jackets for? And hardcover version of whatever edition I'm assuming?

In search of an RB item, this trove of SF stuff was uncovered. Has anyone seen these before?

No, these are new to me. There are other places where an illegal fix of Bradbury can be had, but I've not seen anything as blatant as this except on a Russian server or two! Methinks Mr Bradbury's lawyers should be alerted!
