I've read the story several times and on rare occasion have seen the movie. The first time I saw it on TV, I was ironing. When a commercial came on, I found myself holding up the iron in one hand without realizing I had done so. Never knew when I stopped as the story was so wonderful. Wish it came on TV more often.

Another story is I Dream the Body Electric. It was on the original Twilight Zone.

I realized one day that Star Trek's holodeck was probably based on one of Bradbury's stories. Seems a room in a house could become anything the children wanted it to be. The parents wanted to turn it off as the children were too involved with it. Interesting end to the story.

Yes, havem't you heard? They're making new TV shows out of pairs of old ones these days:

I Dream of Jeannie + I Sing the Body Electric
=
I Dream the Body Electric!

I Sing of Jeannie, surely!

(And I would most assuredly sing of Barbara Eden!)

It's OK Indy - we're only having sport with you. You are most welcome!

Hey, if we could just get the Martians to invade Earth and then welcome them with opened arms, why we could put an end to our current economic dilemma. Get some bands to play, some baton twirlers, a glad-handed mayor, and some ready to party young'uns, and we'd be turning a profit in no time!! What do you think?

Mr. B is a genius!

Right, Butch!
Don't we need this headed up by someone named Rick or Bick, if I recall correctly?

By the way (this is becoming another 'miscellany' thread) I've been listening to the L&H Music Box lately during my post-prandial perambulations.
Thanks again for that! The world would be a better place if more people had this sort of music while they went about their work.
