Anthology "The Other Side of the Clock" by Philip Van Doren Stern includes one of his own stories, The Greatest Gift, which was made into It's a Wonderful Life. It was good, but I liked some of the other time travel stories even better.

I was given an advanced reading copy of Shadow Show today. The hard part will be saving it until next week as my day one book for Jury Duty service. p.s. I do not know why when I try to insert an image it never shows up as part of the message. John King Tarpinian You know what you are, Mr. Bradbury? ... I've gotten a few emails asking how one can get their hands on a copy. I got this from the publisher, Terrance McVicker. The books are still being held up because of color registration problems but I hope to have that straightened out by this coming week. I am selling at $29.95 + 2.00 domestic shipping. California residents must add $2.62 in sales tax. I will take any orders and ship just as soon I receive. Please use my email mcrarebooks@earthlink.net for now. Ironic! I also thought of Mr. B and Laurel and Hardy yesterday. I had been ripping scores of tunes and old radio shows to a flash drive. I had just about convinced myself that this few days' project had gathered quite enough hours of entertainment for my frequent long drives here in far NNY. (Now, I wouldn't have to listen to the "same old news" nor search hopelessly for a semi-agreeable, commercial laden music station.) Then I spotted "The Laurel and Hardy's Music Box." As I slipped the two cd's box from the shelf, I thought, "How appropriate! Now, whenever these pieces randomly play, I will grin and recall Mr. Bradbury during my journey!" (A number of years ago I had forwarded a copy of this same L&H collection to Mr. B in its entirety. He soon returned a very joyful card expressing his appreciative.) This is the source of the final several additions placed on the audio stick. http://www.tradebit.com/filede...nd-hardy-s-music-box Additional great L&H stuff here: 'THE FLYING DEUCES' - Truly Timeless humor! http://www.laurelandhardyforum.com/portal/ *Valentine's Day ... Mr. Bradbury, Mr. Laurel, and Mr. Hardy!? Reading his story and listening to their memorable musical scores. What lovely and spirited ways to have conjured these greats into our thoughts, from West Coast to East Coast - at that!
