I quite like his Battenbergs and mince pies, though I didn't see the latter on the site.

Just finished the Films of Alfred Hitchcock (Harris and Lasky), currently turning pages of: Now and Forever (Mr. B), The Greatest Generation Speaks (Brokaw), The Graveyard Book (Gaiman), Collected Poems of Robert Service, Zen in the Art of Archery (Herrigel), and several Spiritual texts.

(Nice not to have to read and correct papers and essays at night! Appreciating some time to step out of one space and into another...)

I am reading The Story Of Edgar Sawtelle. It's brilliant and the style of writing reminds me some of Ray.

Dipping into MASKS by Mr B.

Also dipping back into Harlan Ellison's The Beast That Shouted Love At The Heart Of The World (one of the great titles of 60s speculative fiction, with some pretty good stories, too).

Mince pies are too seasonal. Being a Xmas item, they usually don't hit the shelves until at least August...

The Shop of the Mechanical Insects by Ray Bradbury. I just received the chapbook today and the illustrations by Dave McKean are as they say in the UK BRILLIANT. Wish I had it at Comic Con so I could have told Dave McKean that.
