An awesome book by an amazing author. I just purchased this book at a second hand store and saw that it was signed by the author, Ray Bradbury. The story line is really great in that it is his own personal story of working with John Houston on the 1961 Moby Dick screen play. Not sure of value (if you know let me know) but the book as a great read.

It depends on the edition, really. Could be anywhere from $15 - $900.

The film was 1956. In 1961, he wrote the narration for King of Kings.

Unlike some of his books, that one has seen periods out of print.

I first read Green Shadow, White Whale under the evening stars during our travels around the Gaspe Penisula one summer. What a wonderful narration on so many things Bradbury. We actually saw whales along the coast, though none white. I clearly recall that we took a far-back road to an isolated lake, where we captured a photo of a sign naming the location. A few weeks later, upon our return, we sent Mr. Bradbury a copy of the sign, trees and water in the background: "Lake Marguerite" Ah, metaphors!

The sign may be a challenge amidst all the stuff. Here is the Lac and an opportunity to place your dream escape on its shores!

Phil, yeah ~ 9 December 1990, by Pope John Paul II, who himself is in the on-deck circle for sainthood!
