I read a story a few years ago, i believe it was out of "The Golden Apples of the Sun," but i cannot remember the title. It was about a race of humans that lived for a total of 4 days, and even with such a short life there were still wars and fighting. The main character, who heard a rumor of a rocket on the planet, leaves in search of the rocket, and finds it and leaves the planet.
The story has always stuck with me because of the idea that there would be war even if we only lived for about 4 days. please help me find the title. thanx
