Bravo! For Pulitzer Prize winning writer Michael Chabon. April 4th, 2009 has the premiere of his new movie, "The Mysteries of Pittsburgh." Just read a listing of his favorite books! Top of the list: "Complete stories of Edgar Allan Poe." He says he was the first writer "...I fell in love with for the personal intensity of his imagination." (Where have we heard that before, or something close it?) What was, say, also on the top of the list?: Moby-Dick. And who, right after Poe was his favorite: Ray Bradbury, after first discovering the wonder and pleasure of metaphors from such books as 'R is for Rocket'. Chabon's Pulitzer prize winner: The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. Certainly find here in 'Kavalier and Clay' mystical gifts of Bradbury, Poe and Herman Melville. A literary ''son'' Bradbury for sure.

AND: Just read on ERBzine.com that Michael Chabon has been hired to do some revisions on the current script for the JOHN CARTER OF MARS movie.

Ray and I were just talking about this a few months ago when the subject came to Thuvia, Maid of Mars, and the cover art we both love! "Live Forever!"
