It might not be all that sinister. Perhaps she's just one of the millions of students who can not spell or just doesn't want to take the time to double check her writing?

I'm a student as well and I have been asked the same question about his life connecting to "SWTWC", so I'm going to help as much as I can. I don't know for a fact but I believe that he did have the carnival experience. I also believe that he had a best friend that was very close to the same age. Hope this helps. Remember, I am not completly confident on this information. I just remember hearing something about it.

25 connections... That's tough. There may be a connection with his father working in a library. If not his father, maybe someone else in Ray's family worked in a library.
