I found it comforting after going through a difficult time with my aging parents, caring for my own family, and holding my own job, to open up "Dandelion Wine" and return to reality. The wonder, mystery, and just a touch of fear made me smile and stopped my shaking hands after weeks of tension.

Walking with soft feet over the bridge in the ravine, avoiding the Lonely One, and all of the other adventures restored my sense of childhood and what is really important.
