Today I happened to think of this song which I hadn't since before the pandemic. Respecting the lyrics, let me say this about that. It seems nature *does* take notice when humans are gone, and appreciates it! The canals of Venice (Italy) are clear enough to see fish and even dolphins! Air in large cities is described as "alpine" with no one driving, and every kind of wild animal from goats to lions to penguins are being observed wandering the streets!
