When I was a young college student, getting the pen on the paper was a little like attempting to kick a door open; it hurt. Then, I discovered Ray's book, The Zen of Writing, and the flood gates of works poured out page after page, until I had to physically stop the flow of words from my brain to my hand in order to go to lunch. The process has never ceased.

I use Mr. B's ZinW often in my writing units. When I have a student who seems to have a real fire in his/her eyes, I will share the use of my signed Zen text with said student. It sounds, TRB, as though you are "madder than Capt. Ahab' - and that is not a bad thing!! Here is another collection that has been quite useful in getting youth to understand that "wings can be made after the leap has been taken!" RE: http://books.google.com/books?...#v=onepage&q&f=false *A quick scan through the "Soup's" contents page will review the final celebrated "Tah-dah!" has been appropriately presented!
