If any of you attending this weekend need to contact me email me at UncleEinar (at) earthlink.net and I'll respond with my cellular number. Make sure to put Ray Bradbury in the Subject line in case the spam filter weeds you out.

This dinner is for the people who participate on this board to get, in many instances, to meet for the first time and to share our love for Ray.

Sorry, jkt. We can't make it this weekend after all. He who shall remain nameless, though not blameless, is in the dog-house.
Buen provecho!

Wish I could be there with you all. I will miss the opportunity due to other committments. Give Ray a happy '90 birthday hug from me, his greatest fan. I know we all are that.

BD Gathering ~ Greetings: I'll tip a glass for good health and best wishes to all who have journeyed near or far to celebrate Mr. Bradbury's birthday. Plans here ran up against research for fall courses, family calls, and this & that at every turn. We'll keep close tabs via jkt and Doug's site reports galore...though it will not be like shaking so many friends' hands personally!

We'll be sure to also send congratulations to Mr. B in a few different ways! What a time we had a year ago...ENJOY!

Also, we took in the Imax Hubble 3D on a trip across the border last week. Magnificently powerful and spectacular. RB metaphors were flying across the huge screen. Experience it and you will be moved by the Deep Space imagery, I am sure.

I, as well, really regret not being to be in attendance at this dinner. JKT, I am sure that you will take some fantastic photos of the dinner and so that we can see just how great this event was.

I believe I saw some photos being taken of the east end of the table. If this is so, where might I find them? There was a very attractive blonde there I need to have photos of - the one sitting next to me!

I captured a great shot of you two and posted it to the thread titled "The Night Before Bradbury's 90th Birthday Celebration" in the Inspired by Ray forum. Go check it out!
