| Well, you came to the right place for your answer...To find it, all you have to do is read the "In His Words" essay Ray wrote for this very website!
In addition to those he lists there, he's also said other places that he loves and learned from Hawthorne, Poe, Melville, and Shaw, to name but a very few.

| Oh, and as for themes...It depends on which book you're doing the report on, although several themes are used repeatedly. You might want to do a search on "Yahoo.com" for "Ray Bradbury interview." This will turn up a couple of dozen interviews (at least) with Ray that have been conducted and published in the last fifteen years or so. He often answers questions about theme in them.
