When I was a kid I read a short story about a planet where everyone eats fungus that tastes like meat. I believe, at the end, the main character eats real meat. I have searched the forums for “meat” “vegetarian” “fungus” “mushrooms” and come up blank. Does anyone know the name of this story?
The story you describe does not sound like anything I have ever read that was written by Ray Bradbury. Perhaps someone else may have some better information about its author.
