He was trying to subconsciously let us know what he wanted for Christmas. Which is a long way off.

When this first happened three days ago I did not connect-the-dots. Zina Bethune produced Ray Bradury's Frost and Fire a few years back. The photo in the hard-copy of the paper has a picture of her with Ray.

Another exuberant spirit has left us. As with Zina Bethune, Gary Carter brought a passion and smile to his daily journey. When one works as hard at what they did and truly enjoyed "every moment" of their experiences, it is made to look like child's play. But...that is a wonderful thing!

Mr. Carter was a legendary ballplayer, gentleman, parent, and admired community leader on both sides of our Northern Border:

Peace be theirs!

Oh, my! I met her once. The joy of life shone through her even in that short time I was with her. I met her through Ray at Frost and Fire.

Author Mark Bourne, who also directed some of Ray's plays, has died at age 50. A link to details of his passing is below.

For information about the plays of Ray Bradbury that Mr. Bourne directed at the Kountze Planetarium in Omaha, Nebraska, click on the link below from Mr. Bourne's website and scoll down to the section titled, "With the universe for a backdrop: Live theater under the stars":

Berenstain Bears were always on our reading aloud list when our (now) teenage boys were mere scruffs. Wonderful tales!
Peace...

This is creepy and sad because after the Oscars I was just thinking how it is strange all the major characters from The Sound of Music are still alive when from some shows the same age it's practically a wipeout. Then as I was getting into bed I thought it was weird how half the Beatles are gone but all the Monkees are still alive, "but Davy could be in better shape, though." It's literally the last thing I thought just before I got into bed and the first thing I saw when I went online today!

I never liked the Berenstain Bears, All in the Family, or even the old Life of Riley. These all prtrayed the father as a doofus. Now, more than ever in our culture, our families need good dad role models.
