I absolutely love the work Mugnaini has done for Ray Bradbury's books over the years. His illustrations are so haunting, intricate, vivid and surreal, yet they are somehow subtle and restrained as well. He is able to capture Ray's imagery and the 'spirit' of each story beautifully. The creative collaboration between Bradbury and Mugnaini stands alongside (I think) other great author-artist partnerships like Charles Dickens/Halbot Browne (Phiz), and Ted Hughes/Leonard Baskin.
