For our English class, we are reading Fahrenheit 451. On a test one of the questions was as follows... Faber's primary purpose in the plot is... A) to suggest to Montag he kill Beatty B) to give Montag a new model to imitate C) to reassure Montag that his ideas about the need for change are correct D)to prevent the destruction of the Bible E)None of these I put E as the answer as in my opinion Faber's primary purpose was to mentor and teach Montag about the importance of books and free thought. The teacher said the answer was C. What do you think? I'm not sure about the answer and would love more input.

Well, those concepts are kind of similar but at least you are using independent thought.

I agree with dandelion that your thoughts, and what your teacher said was the correct answer, are somewhat similar, but I personally prefer the way you put it!
