I'm looking for an essay by Bradbury that was published in newspapers some twenty years ago on the subject of space travel and why we should go. He was responding to a government questioning why we should spend so much money on space exploration instead of solving problems on Earth. His essay was persuasive with some phrases such as "God had given us the opportunity to explore and colonize the stars and that for a lack of will, we failed and stayed on this small planet until the stars winked out. Wouldn't that be a killing truth to live with?" I'm paraphrasing from what I remember. Anyone have any ideas? | |||
