The 2018 Glendale Paperback Book Show has been scheduled for March 18. Sadly, a number of authors who were regulars at the show have passed away, including Ray Bradbury, Forrest J Ackerman, George Clayton Johnson, Jerry Pournelle and Earl Hamner, to name only a few. However, fine writers such as William Nolan, Larry Niven and Gregory Benford have continued to attend, and its a great way to pick up both scarce and inexpensive books, as well as getting books signed. Yes, the show is sponsored by Black Ace Books, and used to be held in Mission Hills, California. The space in Glendale to which it moved a few years ago is much, much nicer.
The 2020 Glendale Paperback Book Show is scheduled to be held on Sunday, March 8, from 9 am to 4 pm at the Glendale Civic Auditorium in Glendale, California. A number of fine writers are scheduled to appear, including William F. Nolan, long-time close friend of Ray Bradbury; Larry Niven; Tim Powers; and Peter Beagle. The 2023 Glendale Paperback Book Show is currently scheduled to be held on March 19, 2023 at the Glendale Civic Auditorium, 1401 Verdugo Rd, in Glendale, California. The guest list is not yet available.
