we got a fairly old hardcover (amazing condition, considering it's former library) yesterday, and we're having trouble dating it. the last copyright date in it is 1958, and there's no publication date. it's printed by doubleday, but i can't find a doubleday hc printing in '58. the art on the dust jacket is reddish with some stone pillars. please let me know if you guys know when this book was printed. i can get a photo when i go home if you need it.

Does it have a special introduction by Clifton Fadiman? If so, it was printed by Doubleday in 1958.
