So apparently the books is supposed to be released today, yet it's out of stock at Amazon (and I received an email from them asking to confirm if I'd like to keep my order open), and it's still a preorder at KSUP: http://www.kentstateuniversity...-ray-bradbury-vol-2/

The Center for Bradbury Studies has announced, in a post dated October 22, that the second volume is now out.

But keep reading - the bit I found really interesting was that the Collected Stories is now described as a "projected eight-volume series (1938-1950)".

That's new. As far as I know, Jon Eller has always, up to now, stated that three volumes were planned, but that it was not certain whether there would be more after that.

Eight volumes, of course, sounds more plausible for collecting Ray's short stories.

So the book should be available from Amazon as of 10/30. Hopefully mine ships soon after.

But if these eight volumes are designed to go up to 1950, I'm wondering - Bradbury didn't write any more short stories after 1950? That's obviously not right. Right here there are many many stories listed after 1950: http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/ch.cgi?194 All the way to last year! Not sure of the chronology, of course, I'm not an expert at all, just very curious.

Wild guess? Perhaps there are more versions of the earlier ones, where later ones have only magazine version (if any) and book version? Even that is not right as some stories have three or more versions!
