I looked this up thinking it must be an April Fool's joke but it seems to be true: http://www.dailynews.com/ci_14747858 May they be haunted by the ghost of Peg Entwistle, for starters: http://www.franksreelreviews.c...es/hollywoodland.htmThis message has been edited. Nature Boy won't be able to afford to live there if it gets developed... http://www.spaceagepop.com/ahbez.htm

Braling II, thanks for that link! The article committed a grievous error of omission by failing to mention the song's use in my favorite film. I have emailed the webmaster the following: Why does your article about Eden Ahbez not mention that "Nature Boy" was used as a title song for the film The Boy with Green Hair in 1948? It was not Nat King Cole's version, but sung by a chorus. The filmmakers actually paid Ahbez more for the rights to use the song than for the story on which the film was based.

Now that's a stab from the past! That movie used to be shown on TV a lot in the late '50s and early '60s. Haven't seen it since.

For years I knew only the title and thought it was some 1960s thing about race relations or peace or something. I was shocked to learn that such an antiwar film came out so early. There were attempts at the time to suppress it, luckily unsuccessful.
