Do you speak Italian? Even if you don't, I wanted to mention that sixteen of the stories that appeared in the two 1960's Ballantine paperback collections of Ray Bradbury's EC Comics adaptations, TOMORROW MIDNIGHT and THE AUTUMN PEOPLE, were re-printed in 1972 in an Italian paperbound book entitled IL POPOLO DELL'AUTUNNO DOMANI A MEZZANOTTE (which translates to THE PEOPLE OF AUTUMN/TOMORROW AT MIDNIGHT). More information about the book (in Italian, of course), including a picture of its great cover art, can be obtained by clicking on the links below.

And if you speak French (and even if you don't!), you may want to seek out a 1984 hardcover, published in France, called PLANETE ROUGE, which reproduces a number of Ray Bradbury's science fiction stories adapted by EC Comics in the 1950's. I had Ray sign my copy many years ago, and remember how happy he was to see that book. (Ray absolutely loved visiting Paris.) For some more information about the book, click on the link below. (To check out six of the comic book pages translated into French, with that wonderful EC artwork, scroll down and click on the picture on the right labelled "La Galerie.")

The link below will take you to an episode of the podcast "Live from the Bunker", during which acclaimed science fiction writer Ted White discusses Ray Bradbury's involvement with the EC Comics line in the 1950's and HOME TO STAY, the recent collection of EC's adaptations of Ray's stories:

For those who read French, the link below will take you to information about MONSIEUR SOURIRE, which translates to MISTER SMILE in English. This is French collection of Ray Bradbury's EC horror and science fiction stories, published in 1985 by Editions Albin Michel:

The link below will take you to a 2003 conversation between Ray Bradbury and EC Comics editor (and writer/artist) Al Feldstein, in which they discuss Ray's involvement with that legendary line of comics. The conversation is moderated by Jerry Weist, who wrote RAY BRADBURY: AN ILLUSTRATED LIFE:
