...has anyone noticed that sometimes you post something...and it either takes an hour or more to post...or it doesn't post at all...even tho an entry on the opening page says someone posted something at such and such a time...and there is no actual post for that time. wwwzzzeewww (That's supposed to be ghost sound)...

Hmmm.

Ah, the wonderful quirks of the old website...!

Yes, definitely noticed that Nard. I think whatever is causing that is making people think it didn't take the first time, and then posting several times as a result. I wish at least, they could turn the power back on in this ghost town.

Yes. This website is absolutely useless and unserviceable. Who would want it? You'd be lucky to get a dollar for it.

I'll start the bidding--one cent. Robo, you care to add your two cents?

Yes I will bid two cents, nothing higher. Take it or leave it.

Ironically, now that you mention it, I did send Ray a 1864 two cent piece as a gift. I wondered the if thats where "two cents worth" came from.

Bot, I'm no numismatist, but wasn't 1864 the first year for printing "In God We Trust" on our money?

Yes B-Two, you are quite correct. I almost wrote the Lincoln penny but looked it up in the Red book. As a side to this, I saw the other night that penny's are now worth 1.4 cents, and there appears that the government cannot do anything about it, thats what it said. I always pick up a penny on the side walk no matter what side is up. Money is money. Must hoard now, and take them not to the bank, but the scrapyard.

Although it doesn't say so here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_two_cents_%28idiom%29 I always understood that "my two cents" refers to the longtime price of a U. S. postage stamp.

When my youngest son was very little, he swallowed a penny. As I had just heard that morning about possible zinc poisoning (modern pennies are mostly zinc), I called my pediatrician friend with concern. He, who has a great sense of humour, said, "Dont't worry. Just let me know if you notice any change in his bowel movements!"

I should have ate Gas-X
I should have ate Beano
Before taking in the buffet
At The Darkside Casino
I wish I'd remembered
How Low-G effects flatulation
Before lighting that smoke
And causing such a terrible conflagration

I knew some of us old crew would survive!Very good! Yours?

(Though, "should have ate" should be "should have eaten". Past perfect, you know. Plus I think it improves the rhythm.)
