"Celebrations of Life!!"

Mr. Bradbury will Forever be in the center of activities in downtown L.A. - just as he will Forever be right in the middle of activities on MARS!

Ray Bradbury Square and Ray Bradbury Landing. "HurRay!"

Great reasons to celebrate and smile: http://ssheltonimages.com/play...%252C_2012%2529.html

There are lamp posts on each of the four corners. The corner with the grassy area has a vintage steet light, that is where the sign will be installed.

Yes. You can even see the Bonaventure, upper left, in the photo within the original flyer.

...and isn't Sam Parkhill's Hot Dog stand just to the right at the second traffic light?

Ha..Sorry! When considering RB, I sometimes get my planets mixed up!

This is probably the last big event with family participation, yes.

Here's the poster (attached below) for our annual Pillar of Fire Halloween show, designed by our extraordinary artist George "E-gor" Chastain.

This year we performed concert readings of three eerie Bradbury chillers -- my own readers-theatre adaptation of "The Black Ferris," Ray's radio adaptation of "The Ravine" and "Usher II" (from the stage script for THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES) at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library.

This was our official public memorial tribute to Ray. We've also been presenting regular film screenings of his work (including a pre-Halloween screening of THE HALLOWEEN TREE) through our SCREENING ROOM series at the library. We'll have much more to come.

If you haven't already, check out our Pillar of Fire page on Facebook for photos, videos, news and updates on upcoming screenings, readings, productions and other Bradbury-related events. Here's the link to our page:

How Ray Bradbury Square came about:

If any of you will be in attendance on Thursday please make sure to say hello. I'll be wearing black pants, a grey jacket with a Martian Red dress shirt.
