With respect to music relating to FAHRENHEIT 451, people tend think of Bernard Herrmann's score for the film. However, there is also, from Bulgarian composer Georgi Mintchev, his "FAHRENHEIT 451 Symphonic Suite". In the mid-1990's, Mr. Mintchev, with Ray Bradbury's blessing, wrote a ballet from Ray's novel, and later created a symphonic suite from the work. The music is quite beautiful. The suite has four parts, one for each of the main characters in Ray's book: "Beatty", "Mildred", "Clarissa" and "Montag". As noted by Mr. Mintchev in the CD's liner notes: "As the problems raised by the great humanitarian Ray Bradbury in his novel are not fiction, they are not even problems of tomorrow. They are a reality, our past and present." https://www.discogs.com/releas...intchev-Compositions | |||
