May I ask why you are ridding yourself of this awesome collection?
If I had money, I wouldn't ask, I'd just buy it up.
Someone has asked why I'm selling this collection. There are several reasons. But perhaps the most compelling is that I need the money. I've been unemployed for 2 1/2 years. All our savings are gone. I'm living off credit cards. Free-lance work is erratic and underpaid. My son is going to a special, expensive private school for dyslexia. Those are the essential facts. I can't afford sentimentality or nostalgia. I have to keep my family together.
Still has to be tough, selling it, though!
braitman, I sympathize. I was out of work myself for a while - doing hard labour with guys half my age. I sincerely hope your situation improves so that you needn't part with these treasures.
Braitman, I, too, sympathize with your current situation. But it is nice that you are realistic and know that this fantastic collection will provide a means of income to cover some biils and living expenses. Also, I find it admirable that you first offer this to your fellow Bradbury enthusiasts who would most appreciate having any or all of this as opposed to placing it all on eBay to the highest bidder who may not appreciate the intrinsic value of each item that you have listed. I, as well, wish that some miracle occur and that you find a job that not only will you like and enjoy, but that will provide you with an income that will not require you to sell your hard worked for collection. That is indeed a massive collection. I couldn't begin to afford a collection like that. But maybe you could help me locate a story title. Are you familiar with all of them? If you would go to the message from suetheblue, titled, What is the name of that story? from July 28, I wouldn't have to repeat the whole message again. Could you help me with that?
Keep it together, man. I hope everything goes well. Cheers, Translator Lem Reader

Braitman, Best of luck to you on the sale and the other areas of your life. Things will work out. Trust me on this. Best, Pete

Braitman--Is the asbestos covered Fahrenheit that is currently for sale on Ebay yours? If so, the bidding is going very well. It is up over $5,000 and there are almost three days left to go. I can only dream of affording a treasure such as that!
