Apologies if this has been asked, or is old news.

Theres a guy selling a first edition of F451 on ebay, and he states that Mel Gibson has aquired the rights to (re)make the film.

Can anyone corroborate or deny this for definite?

Like the movie, Something Wicked This Way Comes...the Director (in this case it was Sam Pekinpah)...well, he sat on a decision to direct for too long, and Ray took the film elsewhere. Mel Gibson sat on F-451 too long, and Ray took this elsewhere, too.
