Here's a neat little review of the MARTIAN CHRONICLES mini-series and the ILLUSTRATED MAN movie: http://dcairns.wordpress.com/2012/07/04/cosmic-ray/ - Phil Deputy Moderator | Visit my Bradbury website: www.bradburymedia.co.uk | Listen to my Bradbury 100 podcast: https://tinyurl.com/bradbury100pod

Tis. The two worst adaptions of Ray? Quite possibly. "Live Forever!"

Yes, quite possibly. Not without their charms, though. I think what irritates me the most is that lots of people have seen these who have never read any Bradbury, and they think the books must be ill co-ordinated and with rather silly lead characters. MC's script is not all bad (but it has some awful moments, including some scenes that even Richard Matheson (the only credited screenwriter) didn't write). What kills MC is the awful, awful direction and some of the flabbiest editing seen on television. I'd love to re-cut it, as I think it might be salvageable if re-edited. On the other hand, IM's script is awful, awful, awful. The direction is good in parts, but lacking overall. Some nice photography, and some good work by Steiger. For this one they really should have just ripped the pages out of the book and stuffed them into the camera. - Phil Deputy Moderator | Visit my Bradbury website: www.bradburymedia.co.uk | Listen to my Bradbury 100 podcast: https://tinyurl.com/bradbury100pod
