The current issue of Scary Monsters Magazine (issue #125) has a couple of articles of interest to Ray Bradbury readers and fans. First, there is an article called "Beware the Autumn People", which discusses both the book and film versions of SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES. There is also an article called "It Came From Ray Bradbury", which deals with the film IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE, for which Ray wrote the screen treatment. The issue also contains articles relating to work by writers Robert Bloch, Robert Heinlein, Edgar Rice Burroughs and H.P. Lovecraft. And as an added bonus, there is a fine drawing of beautiful Ingrid Pitt from THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD on the cover. For more information about this issue, just click on the link below:

The current issue of SCARY MONSTERS magazine (#135) has an article called "Big Brother, Book Burners, and Dystopian Dread", which discusses the novels 1984 and FAHRENHEIT 451, as well as films made of each (the John Hurt and Richard Burton version of 1984 and the Truffaut film version of F451). The article quotes Ray Bradbury saying about the music in F451: "I don't think enough can be said about Bernard Herrmann's score." For more information about the magazine, click on the link below:
