For all who have read the story 'Next in Line'... what is your interpretation of what happened to the wife at the end..killed...traded for a mummy...I myself am a bit unclear if it was intended to 'be' clear.

You know, I never really thought he killed her. It was like she felt her number was up and died of fright or something.
