As I was reading "The Exiles" I came across a word or acronym of some kind called "Mss." It's on page 124 of my version. What does this word mean?

Hoping for some help! I can provide a quoted paragraph if no one can find it.

Thanks

awoop,""Mss." as used in Ray Bradbury's short story is an abbreviation for the word "manuscripts". In "The Exiles", Edgar Allan Poe is speaking and when he says "so many Mss. Found in Bottles burnt", it refers to the famous Poe short story, "MS. Found in a Bottle".

"The Exiles" is a wonderful story, one of Ray's best!
