So he was an influence of some Disney attractions. That is pretty neat to know that work from something he did will continue to be played for years to come.

"The current science fiction writers are a bunch of jerks. As for cyberpunk, it's crap -- you can't read it."--Ray Bradbury

He wrote the script for the ride in the huge geodisic sphere at the Epcot center. He has had a lot of involvement in that kind of activity. I'm not sure what other Disney activities he contributed to.

See Sam Weller's new biography on Ray Bradbury, "The Bradbury Chronicles: Predicting the Past, Remembering the Future". It was just published in April.

Sounds like the man is very diverse. He writes books and designs rollar coasters. We need more of that in this world. It makes life more exciting.

I think that we have a lot of diverse people in this world. They are just not as open as they use to be. It almost seems as if people are ashamed of being different in the sense that others may think that you believe that you are inferior to them. I think that people are alomst afraid of power any more. Any thoughts on this?

Yes, a few thoughts to ponder:
from Fahrenheit 451 (remember published in 1953)
"I hate the Roman named Status Quo!"
"Caesar's Praetorian Guard"
"Remember the Lilies of the Field!"
"Half out of the Cave"
"Mr. Jefferson? Mr. Thoreau?"

(...just the tip of 451's flame!)

I found a wonderful article, "Nothing Has to Die", about the friendship between Ray Bradbury and Walt Disney on the website of the Walt Disney Family Museum, which is located in San Francisco. Here is a link to that article:
