The link below will take you to the July 15, 1948 radio broadcast of "Summer Night" on the SUSPENSE radio show. It stars the great Ida Lupino. The show indicates it was adapted by a writer named Robert L. Richards from an original story by Ray Bradbury. The only Bradbury story that I am aware of that resembles the plot of "Summer Night" is "The Whole Town's Sleeping", and I suspect that is the Bradbury story that served as the basis for this episode. If so, significant liberties were taken with Ray's terrifying, superior tale. To listen to "Summer Night", just click on the link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rcb7jih1n8Y | |||
